Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today, we observe the birthday and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today’s holiday represents the dedicated work of Dr. King that was intended to promote respect and tolerance for, and harmonious coexistence of, racial and cultural differences. I encourage all to engage in an activity that embodies his efforts and communicates the importance of not judging people by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. This is indeed a health-promoting practice that all of us should carry out every day of the year.

Best,

Pedro Antonio

P.S., Here’s a Huff Post blog post on Dr. King’s “prescription for a healthy society” that’s worth the read: https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/4583249
