Tis’ the season to be jolly, celebratory, peaceful, giving, and appreciative.
Tis’ the season to also watch out for one another. This includes covering our mouths when we cough or sneeze, wearing masks when necessary, and engaging in other practices to minimize the risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus, influenza, and, for children, respiratory syncytial virus (or RSV). With the concern of seeing a spike in cases following holiday gatherings, the need to follow guidelines recommended by the CDC and local departments of public health remains a priority for many looking to visit loved ones during this festive time of year.
The best gift we could ask for during the holiday season is spending time with loved ones. Hopefully, we will not experience any major spikes in cases (fingers crossed). And, hopefully, being in the company of many loved ones will create new memories and continue to be a regular occurrence.
I wish you all hope, faith, joy, and peace. Happy holidays!
